The Historic Durango and Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad takes guests through the stunning San Juan National Forest aboard coal-fired, steam-operated locomotives. From May through October, the train makes two return trips daily between the towns of Durango and Silverton. One-way excursions are approximately three-and-a-half hours in length. Inquire about winter excursions, special packages and events and private car charters.
